Clicksor is an online contextual advertising network that allows publisher-partners to reap financial rewards for hosting advertisements on their websites. Clicksor is also decidedly notorious for its advertisements containing harmful viruses, spyware and other malicious software that can harm your business computer. The most commonly seen virus, known primarily as "Clicksor.com," redirects searches to Clicksor advertisers and logs personal information from the infected computer. Generally, the best solution for removing this virus is to use a broad spectrum of anti-virus and anti-malware software, as well as some reputable online and offline scanning solutions.
Update and run your preferred anti-virus software. Some software is more effective than others, so ideally, use highly-rated and well-researched software such as Avast, AVG, McAfee or Norton Internet Security (links in Resources).
Download and install all three of the following anti-malware programs: Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and Lavasoft's AdAware (links in Resources).
Update Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware and Adware, then run full system scans with each program, and follow the onscreen instructions to isolate or remove any detected threats.
Launch a Web browser and navigate to ESET to run a full online scan (link in Resources).
Download, update and run Microsoft Safety Scanner, TDSSKiller and Hitman Pro Trial if the virus is still present (links in Resources).
